Ferry Koster is Distinguished Professor of Innovative Collaboration at TIAS School for Business and Society (Van Spaendonck Chair) and Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
His research focuses on the interrelationship between governments, organizations and individuals. These interdependent actors are involved in dynamic cooperative and conflictive encounters. Besides that, such dynamics are affected by the context in which these actors operate. Hence, in his research, Ferry Koster evaluates these relationships in connection to societal, political and economic developments like flexibilization, individualization, aging, knowledge intensification and globalization.
Apart from these theoretical and empirical investigations, he is interested in their practical implications and how to make the results accessible to the public. Work in progress in this direction involves the development of a Solidarity Scan for policy makers and organizational consultancy using experimental research designs. Together with Paul de Beer he is the founder of (Re)analyse.
